When I started this project, Jennie and I weren’t even married yet! Well, it is a good thing that it is a cardigan, so she can wear it for the last month of her pregnancy. This pattern should have been knit up much faster, but I got pretty busy with things that kept me out of a couch, so I just never had much time to work on this.
I used Rowan RYC Classic Luxury Cotton in the color, fog. I really like this line of yarn, because it has a very small bit of silk added to it, which gives the finished product a very slight sheen to it.
One of the things I will love most about this sweater is that I finished the knit portion of it while watching the now famous Wimbledon final between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. The match lasted almost all day long, which gave me ample time to finally put in the couch time necessary to finish this project. Of course it then took me another month before I finally sew together the seams and tie up the loose ends.
I am now moving on to baby projects, which are thankfully much quicker to knit up!
