Guitar Hero World Tour Microphone Compatibility

I got Guitar Hero Hero World Tour for my birthday. It is the Wii version of the game, and I didn’t get any of the extra instruments, since I already had the guitar from last year.

But, I wanted to try out the singing part of the game.

So, I went onto eBay to look to see if anyone was selling the microphone separately from the bundled kit. And they were … for more money than I wanted to spend.

So I searched around to find out if I could just use any microphone for the game, and couldn’t find out anything conclusive. [I could have just read the instructions, which say deep within them, that any USB microphone will do, but I guess I never read the instruction manuals for video games]

Anyways, what I found is that you do NOT have to spend a fortune on a Guitar Hero branded microphone on eBay. You can just go to Gamestop and buy any USB microphone.

I ended up purchasing a PS3 branded Logitech Vantage USB Microphone and I am happy to report that it works perfectly.
